L'année de mes sept ans Year: 2003 Country: France Actors and Actresses: Arthur Pellisier, Clémence Meyer Tags: bathing boy, bathing girl Review: Set in the autumn of ‘52, Helene, 7 years, and her brother Michel, 9 years, are abruptly separated from their parents during their divorce, and sent to their grandparents. With a rather rigid grandmother who seem to favour her brother to her, and a silent grandfather obsessed by the war and the Nazi genocides, Helene tries to adapt to her new existence. - Translated by Al. Golasy Year: 2002 Country: Poland Actors and Actresses: Maks Turowski, Milosz Turowski Review: Created by Witold Swietnicki and Krzysztof Jaworski, The Naked takes place in an office where the characters are some clerks. Their life is full of dangers as a lot can happen in the working hours of an office: a dog can bite us, they can be giving away tinned knuckle in the social department, a phone operator from the room next door can drop in for some gossip, someone can get an electric shock, you can have some coffee, listen to the radio, watch TV, finally someone can blow up the whole office by mistake. The characters in The Naked are not professional actors, but normal people placed in an abnormal situation. The idea is mad but intriguing with everything looking normal - desks, phones, gossip, tea, coffee – but the clerks and customers are naked, raising all sorts of questions about our attitudes to nakedness and inter-office relationships. - Amazon.co.uk Movie added at: 31.08.2013 |

Ole dole doff Year: 1968 Country: Sweden Tags: bathing boy Review: This modern tragedy finds the teacher Martensson as a disillusioned soul trying desperately to keep control of his class that has gone askew. The school system and the uninvolved parents demand he enforce the rules of the institution. He valiantly tries to bridge the generation gap at the same time alternately loving and hating his job and his students. Although he often sides with his students, his position of authority forces him to make unpopular decisions. - J.J. Satie Movie added at: 31.08.2013 |
